Le Canada est en Afghanistan pour aider les Afghans à reconstruire leur pays et à en faire une société stable, démocratique et autonome. Nous y sommes, en compagnie de plus de soixante autres États et organismes internationaux, à la demande du gouvernement afghan élu démocratiquement et dans le cadre d’une mission pilotée par l’OTAN, conformément à un mandat de l’ONU. L’objectif du Canada est de promouvoir six priorités ciblées qui cadrent avec le Pacte pour l’Afghanistan.
